Our collaboration with Ucon Acrobatics centers on crafting sustainable materials that align with their minimalist aesthetic and dedication to the planet. Over two years, we co-created PUrTEX∞, a game-changing material with a higher recycling rate and far lower energy use than traditional PU. We also pioneered Textile Recycling Yarn, made entirely from discarded textiles in the clothing and bag industries—sidestepping the overdone reliance on recycled plastic bottles. These breakthroughs now anchor Ucon’s iconic backpack and bag collections, blending style with sustainability.
Rapid and Collaborative Product Development
Each year, Ucon Acrobatics’ design team, spearheaded by a brand founder, visits our factory to dive into new backpack and bag designs firsthand. This direct involvement slashes development timelines, with multiple sample rounds wrapped up in days. Our sample room—packed with pros wielding over 30 years of pattern-making and sewing expertise—teams up with Ucon’s crew to tweak concepts in real time. From nailing small fixes in hours to tackling tricky structural updates in days, we bring their vision to life without a hitch, solidifying our role as a top-tier backpack manufacturer.
A Partnership of Growth and Sustainability
Our bond with Ucon Acrobatics transcends the transactional. Founder Martin’s forward-thinking ideas—like his early nudge to recycle textile waste from fashion and bag production—pushed us to new heights, culminating in the 2024 Infinity series launch, crafted from 100% textile waste. Martin’s regular factory visits double as brainstorming sessions over simple lunches, where he digs into daily ops and swaps insights on refining our processes. His grounded vibe has turned our partnership into a friendship that drives both innovation and growth.
